The Problem With Our Ummah

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

Title: The Problem With Our Ummah

The problem with our Ummah
is that we are like bubbles in the sea;
Huge in numbers but worthless in strength.

The problem with our Ummah
is that we choose to point fingers at others,
when the problem lies within ourselves.

The problem with our Ummah
is that we think our Imams are better than others’
when the Imams themselves flee from high chairs.

The problem with our Ummah
is that our minds know we are engaging in sins
but our hearts choose to be arrogant and blind.

The problem with our Ummah
is that we sit behind computers, press ‘like’ and ‘reblog’.

but when the opportunities come for us to make a difference,
within ourselves and towards others, we show them our backs in favour of all things dunya.

The problem with our Ummah
is that we read the Qur’an from cover,
but its contents we never quite understand.

That is the problem with our Ummah. The problem with me? I can never get my eeman going high and steady. My level of eeman, is currently at it's lowest and I am very much ashamed of that. I'm such a weakling. Down with a little bit of setback in life, and there I go wasting my tears on things that will hardly bring me any benefits.

My eeman is so fragile. One moment, it can really shoot up really high up to the sky. And then the next, it'll just go down the dirty little drain. & when that happens....when my eeman is making its way down to that dirty little drain, I find myself having a really hard time pushing my eeman back, to the very top. Ironically, when my eeman is at it's very top, it was rather easy for me to let it fall and crumble into pieces. See, I am weak. This humble servant of Yours is soooooooooooo weak.

Why am I so fragile?  ]=
