Title: The joy of teaching
I was browsing through some of my photo albums in my desktop and I found these. They bring back so much memories, and I had just realised how long it has been, since I've last paid these children a visit. While I was awaiting for my O-level results to be released early this year, I took up a part-time job as an assistant pre-school teacher, at Iyad Perdaus Child Development Ctr (Choa Chu Kang). I took up the job offer because it sounds fun to me, and the pay was quite good too. I've always enjoyed dealing with little children anyway. So I thought, ah, this job couldn't be thaat hard, could it? While most of my other friends were almost on the verge of dying, as they worked day and night as waiters and waitresses at some local restaurants, here I am making easy money, as an assistant pre-school teacher. Hah hah hah. So I guess I was lucky! It was an enjoyable working experience.
Sometimes, I think that I've become too attached to the kids. And that is nooo good! But I just can't help it. They were oh so adorable, that I sometimes wish that I could just kidnap one of them home. I bathed them, put them to sleep, changed their diapers for them, served them lunch, read them a story book, and nap time was always the best part of the day cos I like to watch them sleep. Sometimes, I would silently crawl over to their mattress, and belai them on their head gently and make a silent doa' in hope that they will all grow up to become successful individuals someday. Ah, I'm going to cry. I miss them so muchhhh! ]=
