Title: Child Observation
Who would have thought that doing child observation could be soooo hard? We had to do an observation of a child as we let him play with our play-kit that we have came up with ourselves and make an Anecdotal Report out of it and do some comparisons with the child's developmental milestone.
As much as I thought that this would be an easy task, it apparently, was not an easy one at all! My team and I had a hard time to coax the child to participate in the play and we had to deal with his tantrums, to the point that we almost gave up. I was put in charge of recording the observation. So as the rest of my team members played the card game with the child, I was busy typing in my observation of the child in the laptop throughout. It wasn't easyyyyyy at all!
I think it took us almost an hour to befriend the child, and help him combat his shyness anxiety etc. And we managed to do all that throughhhh, becoming clowns ourselves. And when he eventually smiled and laughed along as he watched us perform our silly acts, aww his smile brought warmth to my heart. Eventually, the whole child observation process was a successful one and all that I'm left with to do now, is to collate them into the Anecdotal Report, before sending them for submission.
