Heeyakdush, Haiyak!

Title: Heeyakdush, Haiyak!

When I was 7, I wanted to become a bus driver. When I was 10, I had wanted to become a police officer. When I was 15, I wanted to join the Army. Now at 17, I think I want to become a teacher. But that, might change again in 5 years to come. I'm fickled minded because I like to dream.

Well here's the big news. I am going to join Silat! Yes, you read that right. I am going to join Silat, right after this Ramadhan insyaAllah. It will be held at Fuchun CC; just a fifteen minutes walk from my residence. This is really a good deal and I can't afford to give this opportunity a miss because I've been dying to learn Silat since eons ago!

The best part? The instructor is a muslimah and she wears the hijab too! How awesome is that? And the whole reason as to why I've been longing to join the Silat, is never to show-off, but rather, it is for me to gain basic self-defence skills. I mean, I think it is essential for a woman to be equipped with basic self defence skills.

Funny how some of my friends stared at me in disbelief when I told them that I will be joining the Silat because they must've thought I wouldn't be able to take the harsh physical trainings, given my feminine personality. But I've got a huge passion and interest for Silat and I believe that the huge passion that I have for Silat will eventually overthrow the physically weak side of me, and bring a new me.

Here's the thing folks. Although I may appear soft on the outside, I am actually quite tough on the inside okay. But how exactly 'tough' is tough? That, I am not too sure yet but I am definitely going to give Silat a try. Oh boy! I am really looking forward to this Silat course and may it benefit me well insyaAllah.
