The quality of our prayers
In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

Title: The quality of our prayers
At first glance, when I looked at this boy, I thought that there was nothing abnormal about him. But when I took a second glance, I realised that he had no legs. Then if you were to look closely at his facial expression, he looked relaxed. I admire him because although he had no legs, he still bothered to do his solat, and make his doa' whole-heartedly. May Allah make all his affairs easy.
Myself on the other hand? Sometimes, I would rush through my prayers to catch my favourite show on TV. Sometimes, I would rush through my prayers so that, I could resume back to doing my schoolwork. Sometimes, I would rush through my prayers, without even bothering to do a doa' after that. And when I saw this picture, the thought about the performance of my prayers all these while, hit me hard.
Have you ever cried when you pray? And after that, do you cry when you make your doa' to Allah? How does it feel like? I happen to go through that during my Asar prayers earlier and believe me, it’s the best thing that my body has ever experienced. Knowing that I cried for something that was worth it. Like the whole weight of your shoulder gets lift up and your heart is being purified. Your mind is clear and your eyes can see better. Everything starts to feel easy. Subhanallah!
