Topic: Laptop's Under Repair
Yes, you read that right. My darling laptop is under repair, thanks to my sister. I don't know what's gotten into her little itchy fingers. My laptop is barely a month old, but yet it already needs to be sent for repair. My dad recently bought both my sister and I a new laptop. It isn't really called a laptop, though it functions and look like a laptop, except for the fact that they're small and compact in size. They call it a NetBook. I once saw my Physics teacher carrying it to class before and the class went wow and all. But I never thought of having one. Heheh, alhamdulilah daddy bought it with the help of his best friend, Uncle R who referred him to this computer shop that have got good discounts.
My sister and I shrieked in joy when my dad came home with 2 purple laptops in hand. Before this, we shared a desktop computer with my mum. My mum runs a successful online business store selling things related to children and her clients come from around the globe. USA, UAE and Asia. Heheh, let me publicise her online store. Here's her website. http://www.little-tots-store.com/
I am definitely proud of my mum's achivement. Her successful business story did came out in Berita Harian; a malay local newspaper under the econiaga section before, complete with a picture of her on it. Alhamdulilah. I hope and pray that her business would continue to flourish. Oops, I'm getting out of point. Now, back to the story.
So, as we shared one computer, my mum would need to use the computer most of the times to attend to her clients and take down orders etc. We usually take turns to use the computer but at times when the computer lags a lot and she'd go mad because it means that she couldn't do her online work. Seeing that, she'd sometimes say no to us when we wanted to play the computer, unless it's for school projects etc. We eventually got use to this routine although both my sister and I did wish if we could have a computer to ourselves. We never told this to our parents before of course, but it was my mum's idea to get each of us a laptop each because she knows how important it is for teens like us to keep up with the technology. (for a good purpose of course)
Dad bought home 2 lenovo purple NetBook and called Singtel to set the internet up etc. I found joy and then like 3 weeks later, while my sister was using the internet her internet connection suddenly goes off. My connection was still fine, so was my mum's. She must've messed with the settings or something. We tried to fix it but to no avail. Singtel couldn't solve the problem either when we called them. So my dad had to send it to a repair shop.
So throughout the period when she had no internet connection, I allowed her to use mine out of pity. Then one night, she told me that while she was on Facebook, the internet connection got off again. I was furious and told her to shut my computer down. I prayed that everything would be fine when I turn it on the next day,(which is today) but it didn't turn well. True enough, there wasn't internet connection. Her laptop was eventually fixed and my dad brought it back home safely today. Then, I told about the matter to my dad. My dad was of course furious because it meant that he'd have to return to the repair shop again.
This time, he warned my sister to not do any downloads etc. So right now, I'm blogging using my sister's laptop. Mine's lying at the dining table, waiting to be sent to the repair shop tomorrow morning before my dad goes to work. I feel really sorry for my dad. I hope this wouldn't happen and I'll never let my sister touch my laptop ever again! Ugh, what itchy hands she's got! )':
